Our New Home!
This is the front of our new house in Sandy.
Our bedroom, kind of small but we fit everything and more than I expected.

Trav's bookshelves, he was able to get another bookshelf and fit all his books in his room. He was quite happy.

See he's happy.

Our cute little bathroom.

One side of the kitchen...

...kitchen table they left...

...the other side of the kitchen. We actually have a ton of space in the kitchen. That is a nice feature.

The front door form the inside, I LOVE the wood floors.

The living room turned out good, we fit most of the furniture which, again, was surprising.
We totally unpacked all day yesterday and now we are back to the normal routine.
Thanks to everyone who helped!

EASTER BUNNY CAME TO LITTLE AMERICA!
So I am so proud of my wonderful husband! He is a good sport. This year he got to be the Easter Bunny at Little America! Let's just say he is that good!
Have you seen a costume like this before?

As Quinci and I came into the foyer of Little America to visit, we saw this cute pink bunny bouncing around with his little basket. If you look closer, he was the newest addition to the staff with a nametag reading "Peter Cottontail."

Me and my hubby! Isn't he the greatest!

We bought a house!

Sandy, UT 84070

We went looking for a house for one day and by that night at 10:30 they accepted our offer! So we are finishing up our mortgage and we close on April 16th.

It is a cute little house that has been remodeled. We love it.

I'll post a picture when I have time.

TRAV GOT ACCEPTED TO THE BYU ADVERTISING PROGRAM!

So we are quite excited about the new news! No we aren't pregnant as many of you think whenever you hear that Trav and Tia have "news." This news is exciting because we will now be making changes to move this summer to Draper area. So those out there start looking for us. I plan on staying at the Univeristy of Utah and so to commute we don't want to move all the way to Provo. But if push comes to shove, it's an option. Call Trav and tell him congrats!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Ah, cute! Just wanted to say Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Remember those you love!

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

Nothing too new going on the last few months. It's nice to have things calm down a bit. Trav and I are waiting to find out if we (he) got accepted into the advertising program. Cross your fingers and say a little prayer for us. We should find out about Feb 13ths. We'll keep you posted.

We are officially moving by July 31st though. Technically we are being evicted but because the Landlord's can't have anyone renting from them after July so we are headed south somewhere between Salt Lake and Provo. So if anyone sees some openings let us know.

Definitely not excited to leave our wonderful little place. We don't know what we will do without the Landlords!!!

Well, enjoy, and we'll post Trav's video for all to see!

This is Travis-Rules of the homeless

Hello everyone-

I have been asked to make a guest appearance on my blog every once and a while so I thought I would stop in and say hello. School has kept me busy and a way from most of you but I am proud to say I earned a 3.90 so that made it worth it. Let's get down to business.

People have been asking me (and perhaps you are asking yourself) how do I know if a homeless man is just crazy or DANGEROUSLY crazy. So here is the top 10 signs to tell if your homeless man is crazy or might be dangerous. Memorize this list!

1) Is he speaking a language that has not been heard by human ears before? DANGEROUS!
2) Does he have on shorts over 7 pairs of pants? Just crazy.
3) Does his face look like that of a small cat mixed up by a blender? DANGEROUS!
4) Can he make things float with his mind? Like your wallet? DANGEROUS!
5)Is he carrying a old samurai sword, which engraved upon it is Japanese writing and a dragon? Crazy but use caution when approaching, he could be a samurai in disguise which can be more deadly then a homeless man. Please see my list: knowing if a samurai is deadly for further information.
6) Is he asking for money, your soul, or your first born child? Money-crazy, Soul-use caution, first born child- DANGEROUS!
7) Is he dressed like a pirate but is doing palates in the street next to a stack of plates? DANGEROUS!
8) Does he already know your name, birthday, favorite color, and what you are thinking right that second? DANGEROUS! (This could be an alien, so use extreme caution with this type)
9) Does he/she look just like you in the future? Probably crazy, but I would talk to him/her because it may be a future you trying to warn you or it may be an omen of things to come. In ancient days people would see their face on the face of the dying as a prophecy of how they will die. So beware that it could be that option also.
10) Does he have you at gunpoint? Real gun--DANGEROUS! Water gun- Crazy but there could be acid in the gun so use caution.

That is my list, please print it off and memorize the contents. Then destroy the printed version, we can't let the homeless know that we are on to them. If you have any questions, stories or would like to see future lists please email me at melvinfloyd.batman@gmail.com

Disclosure: I realize that not all homeless fall into two categories of crazy and dangerous, there are those who need genuine help. I am not writing about them, I am writing about the crazy dangerous ones. For more information on helping and volunteering to help the ones in need please visit this website.

Brit and I excited to receive the Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck for Christmas from Grandma. She bought us tickets to see a live performance that was also fun! It was a great Christmas message.

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We had a fun one. It was nice to be around so many loved ones. The big presents this year were as follows:
Trav: Office chair, belt, and plastic floor thing to roll his new chair on, blue ray movies
Tia: Batcave (see picture on left), gift card to Buckle, dress coat, dress boots, winter hat, Disney movies!

To explain the batcave, yes I really did ask for it, mulitple times, but he kept saying no, we don't need it until we have kids. Now don't take that wrong, we are NOT pregnant! But I still got the Batcave which I was quite excited about. How ironic though, this year I didn't get Trav anything that had to do with Batman. I guess that is just the way it goes sometimes.

Enjoy the snow everyone, we will!
