Goodbye, Zing. Hello new world

Hello Folks,

Travis here. If there is one thing I hate, besides satan, it is when people constantly change the location of their blog. That being said, Tia and I have done just that. After spending several years on the Zing updating our blog maybe five times total we've decided to get a fresh start at travandtia.com. This new location will see updates by both Tia and I as we enjoy the adventures of moving across the country and having a baby boy (due in October). So change your links, update your RSS feeds because we have relocated and things are going to get wild.

Thinking of Baby Tonight

So I had some free time tonight and actually felt like sitting down to the computer and posting some pictures. I was thinking about our baby coming and wondering what the little person will look like. I did some research into some of my kid pictures and some of Trav's. I attached a couple and I figured you'd get a good idea.

Baby's First Picture

That is right, we are pregnant. We have officially entered the second trimester and so I now am comfortable announcing to the world that we are pregnant.

Trav has been so excited that with his creative skills he made this lovely video to tell the family, beware, it's a little risque, but it fits.

I'll keep you posted. I did have a little "all-day-queasiness" for a few weeks. Morning sickness is a misnomer. I am feeling great right now and we are just excited about all the new changes. Baby is due October 15.

Other changes, Trav officially is leaving for an internship to Chicago on June 3, for 10 weeks. He has received a couple of scholarships for this summer and some awards for his ads.

Happy 2011

The year has really flown by. I mean, now it's February and I am doing our first post since Thanksgiving. Yikes!

Christmas was wonderful. It was nice to just get to stay home, but it made it even better when we got to see my parents when they came down from Montana on Christmas Day.

January flew by with us focusing a lot on Trav graduating. This is his last semester and I tell you what is has been SO much better than last semester.

As for me, I have signed up for the 2011 Fight for Air Climb on Feb 26. So I have been training to run up the Wells Fargo building stairs.Let me know if you're interested.

On a side note, I REALLY want to go visit my cute little niece. I keep borrowing the pictures my sister-in-law and brother and post them on my blog, cuz she's just so cute.

Our house is up for sale, so if anyone is looking for a starter home, give us a call and we'll have you talk to Trav's Aunt.

Happy Halloween

So my wonderful sister-in-law took some pictures of my recent cupcake making adventure I think they turned out pretty darn good. Whitney, also makes some pretty fetching kittle liter cake, and, despite what it looks like, it's wonderful!

Trav and I have a our first little niece! Her name is Victoria (Tori) Cait Anderson.

She is wonderful. We get to visit during Thanksgiving and we are excited. She's so CUTE!

The Happy Dayz

Do you have days where just a couple of things happen that are small but totally make your week! Well this week, I think it was Thursday night Trav and I just got home and were finishing up a few things: I was checking on my garden and he was on the computer.

I heard a yell from the back room...."Oh sh....!" I ran to the computer room and found this:

Don't worry he was alright. I asked if he was ok and he said no, his pride was hurt. LOL, you got to just love my husband. It's been 4 years and I think it is such a blessing in my life to look back and know that the last four years I have at least laughed once a day...even if I don't remember it, I know that I was happy enough to laugh.

Then I went to the garden and found...(see pic below)

HOLY ZUCCHINI!!!!

I am TOTALLY bummed I missed the fair, I would have entered my zucchini and I could have won! I mean look at that sucker! I will make zucchini bread for a year with that! I was very excited to say the least. Who knew I would aspire in my life to be a master zucchini grower.

Trav is headed off to New York for a week for an advertising convention so I'll post a little more then.

New Mexico: My BFF's wedding

So this weekend I went to New Mexico for the first time. It was wonderful. I got to meet some amazing people and just get away for awhile.

I loved the style of homes in New Mexico. This is a picture of the cute house Kelly had her reception.

One of m favorite sites was as we were leaving I got to see some hot air balloons...so cool. I tried to take a picture. The balloon is the little dot in the middle left-ish side.

The other favorite was the following sign. Just in case you aren't getting any inspiration lately on things you need, the Holy Ghost may be vacationing at his "recreation area" we found on the way to New Mexico. Then just some of my favorites of Kelly's reception.

It was a fun break for me. I was sad that Trav wasn't able to come but it was a good trip. I always like to make new friends and it was great to see one of my bestest friends be so happy!

Summer 2010

So sorry to all those people who really care about us and we have not kept you updated. Here are a few pictures from this summer. We had a blast in Glacier with Whit and Hank. Honestly that has been the highlight of the summer. We have had little things here and there but we've been taking it easy this summer in preparation for Trav's last year at BYU! Yep that is right, only two semesters to go!

Trav even enjoyed himself in Glacier, I know it's a shocker!

Us up Going-to-the-sun road, we got stopped at the Weeping Wall but we did make it all the way through before we came home.

The other new thing is that I cut my hair very short. Yes, it is the shortest that it has been since middle school, and that time it didn't turn out very good. But I think it's ok this time.

Finally, my garden. I love gardening. I think it is just getting your hands dirty and a love that my grandparents gave me of gardening.

Trav's quote "When I was a kid, no one would let me play in the dirt. I've waited my whole life to be an adult to play in the dirt, fool."

My zucchini's are winning the race. The one zucchini had overrun my little plot. Yes, I have 4 zucchini plants. It was an error. I was going for cucumbers and got more zucchini...woops.

We still love our little house. It's a lot of fun.

We are still alive

Hey everyone,

Just letting you know we are still alive. I've been busy with some school work and Tia is busy doing her job at the U.

If you are interested in following my blog for my copywriting go to travismeidell.tumblr.com to follow me. The blog will feature short stories and updates more regularly then here. The sad part is there won't be too much from Tia on this blog... but you never know she may make a guest appearance.

I am experimenting with ping.fm so that is why you may see a series of short posts.

Just redecorated the office... while that might sound kinda girly it actually consists of moving my batman statues around and changing out movie posters... so now it sounds kinda 6 year oldish... Just can't seem to land in the man zone.

Montana Sledding!

People always ask what there was to do growing up in Montana. Well here is a little taste of some real Montana winter fun!

So, if you have never been sledding in Montana, with my family, you are missing out on some fun! This was Trav's first time and he did great. I think the worst accident was when my friend Kelly bruised a rib but no one has died yet. Trav had a pretty bad crash right off but recovered nicely. This year was the best the road has ever been. That's right....the road. We go up the canyon and then get the runner sleds and ride down the road. Don't worry we put up a sign that says "Caution: Sleigh Riders" at the bottom of the hill so when vehicles come they won't run us over. What a blast!

Happy Early Birthday To Me!!!

So I have been looking for something in our room to pull some of the cherry red and the darker red colors together. I was thinking pillows at first, but then I found this wonderful clock!

It was love at first site. Luckily it was on sale AND if I went back the next day then I would get an additional 10% off. You just can't beat that!

So this was/is my birthday present this year from Trav. I think it looks absolutely amazing!

Christmas is Coming!

So the following are some updated pictures of our place. We put the finishing touches on our room with a new comforter set we found.

The day after Thanksgiving, Trav helped me pull the tree out (compliments of Uncle Shad) and the Christmas decorations. Then, Trav was off to work and I got to decorate. It was fun! I put in some Christmas cartoons and enjoyed the Christmas Spirit!

I love Christmas!

I think if Trav were a shepherd he might just look like that guy, very reverent but with the apple remote in hand...LOL)

My sheep, cows and donkey had to be on the lamp in the back. You can see the sheep but the cows and donkey are hidden by the stable, but they are present...don't worry.

Our Christmas tree this year! It turned out great! It almost looks like a real tree.

Moved one of the DVD holders to the hallway and put some decor in it.

EAT REAL SUGAR!

Hey-o-o-o-o-o-o,
So recently I was asked in my creative concepts class to put together a campaign for sugar. This was one really hard campaign. It seemed like we (my partner, Elise and I) were defeated at every turn. We finally came up with a strategy to target sugar to women who feel confined by their diet. Sugar became the woman's way to escape the restrictions that dieting might put on her and in some cases her family. So here is our print ad plus our TV commercial that would be shown on cooking websites. Now it should be noted that we used another commercial in class but I am unable to upload it at this time so perhaps I will show you later.
Some of you might recognize Quinci, the other Trav's wife as the model in these pictures. That is because she was kind enough to respond to my unintentionally creepy request for "a girl 18-25 to pose for me." Yeah I know, I know. Creepy. I've learned now that the better word to use is model. Also the photography was done by my very talented sister Whitney. It was fun because ulitmately it felt like a real photoshoot. I am gratful for both my sisters help in this! Anyway here are the ads!
